Hart to Hart is an American television series starring Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers. The series was created by writer Sidney Sheldon and produced by Aaron Spelling and Leonard Goldberg. It ran from 1979 to 1984 on the ABC Television Network.

Jonathan Hart (Wagner) was a self-made millionaire and the CEO of Hart Industries, a global conglomerate. His wife Jennifer (Powers) was a beautiful freelance journalist. Living the jetset lifestyle, the glamorous couple spent their free time as amateur detectives and in every episode they found themselves involved in cases of smuggling, theft, international espionage and, most commonly, murder. At their opulent Californian home, they were assisted by Max (Lionel Stander), their loyal, gravelly-voiced butler, cook, and chauffeur who also helped out in their "cases". The Hart's pet dog was "Freeway", named so because he was a stray they had rescued when he was found wandering on the freeway.

Hart to Hart is a series that stars Stephanie Powers and Robert Wagner. This series was produced by Aaron Spelling.The series began under the name double twist but was changed when it was rewritten to Hart to Hart. It was created by Sydney Sheldon. Jonathan Hart is a millionaire and his wife Jennifer is a freelance journalist. They are amateur sleuths.

They trot all around the world and find all kinds of trouble to get into, they usually end up with a murder to solve. In every episode found themselves up to their eyeballs in murder, smuggling, theft and international espionage. They have a dog named Freeway, that they love very much when they are home. They have a big beautiful home in California and a man named Max is their only help.

They also managed to find time to snuggle together, as they loved each other very much.Together, they traveled around the globe, they were always getting attention but it was not the kind of attention they wanted. There was nothing but danger around every corner but despite all the danger, Jonathan and Jennifer loved each other and their butler, Max was the super glue that held everything together.This is where the trusty sidekick Max the "Hartbeat" started and lasted through out the seasons.

They had to rewrite the script and add action for a weekly series.The writer who wrote three James Bond movies was offered the script and told to make it so they could make a weekly series out of it and if he did good they would allow him to direct the pilot.Which he did.

They originally wanted Cary Grant as John Hart but he was retired and so they had to find another actor.They wanted some one smooth acting style of Grant and they chose Robert Wagner.The series premier was on August 25, 1979 and it had good and bad reviews.It was so good though, by the end of season 1 everyone in the world was watching it.
